At TrueWest, our goal is to build a dynamic and supportive community for dancers where inspiration and growth go hand in hand. As the adult dance scene continues to expand across Canada and the U.S., we are dedicated to providing opportunities for dancers to pursue their passion with renewed energy and enthusiasm.

Launching in March 2025, our inaugural event will cater to both group and solo performers, offering a platform for every dancer to shine.

We are committed to alleviating the stress and discomfort of solo performances and celebrating each dancer’s unique journey. Our mission is to provide an engaging and educational experience for seasoned dancers while inspiring younger talents to eagerly anticipate their future in the dance world. At TrueWest, we aim to transform the transition from high school competition into an exciting and anticipated milestone.

WHAT

TrueWest is an Alberta based dance invitaional that encompasses competition, convention and community into a weekend for dancers to learn and grow.
WHERE

TrueWest’s inaugural event will take place within the city limits of Calgary — one day expanding into other cities and provinces in Western Canada.
WHEN

TrueWest 2025 will take place on March 1st and 2nd. Our official schedule will be released soon. The goal is to align the competition with the university school season and take place before the competition season starts.
WHO

TrueWest was created for 18+ dancers who have spent the better part of their lives training. We welcome dancers associated with post-secondary teams, amateur dance groups and individuals to register.
